Parenting Support

Parenting support can include a variety of services.

Joint parent-child sessions to support the children learning new skills.  This gives children opportunity to “teach the parent” the new skills they are learning in sessions.  Parents can then support the use of new skills at home.

Sesssion to increase the bond between parent and children to decrease misbehavior and feeling more connected as a family.  This reduces attention seeking behavior, increases the nurturing relationship, and gives the parent a break from their normal role.

For parents who are interested, we have a weekly program including workbook pages and viewing of videos that will give you techniques to positive parenting practices that will be useful on every child including the most challenging.  The review of materials and session are considered a separate session from other services provided.
